Intermediate Lake Project
Location: Intermediate Lake, MI.
This client had recently bought a vacation home that they wanted to turn in into a full outdoor living space.
With our help we were able to create the perfect place for them to entertain and relax during the summers!
Where We Started
When it comes to the property and what our client wants, it's important for us to identify issues concerns we want to address. For this project our client wanted to prioritize utilizing outoor space for entertaiment where they could have a space for extra guests, and dinning.
The Design
Our client's main priorities for the design was landscaping with inclusion of a patio space. We added a low wall to the patio for extra seating around a fire table, with the patio being large enough to also include an outdoor dinning table. The inspiration for the design comes from the shores the property sits on. The low boulder retaining walls mimick the coast line of the beach, and the curves of the patio flow like tranquil waves.

The Process
When we start a project we divide it into individual work areas. This is often done when a project is completed in parts then as a whole. With this project it was completed all at once, but below we will go into each feature and show you from start to finish.
Hardscape
When it comes to bringing a design to reality there is a lot of technical aspects that we have to calculate and account for. Our team does a fantastic job of working the diffuct cuts and angles when laying pavers. You can always trust them to do it right.
Perfecting Precision
Making impressively precise cuts to fit the pavers around the boulders and stairs was one of the more challenging aespects of this design, but our team once again pulled it off flawlessly!
Smooth Cuts
To create the curved edges you can see how our crew bends a pvc to measure just right for the final cut.

Planting & Landscaping
For the landscaping, beatiful Hydrengeas and Day Lilies were combined with Carex Sage and Blue Fescue grasses to compliment the winding Boxwood hedges along the sides of the home, and the Junipers in the front.
The Transformation
When we started the property was mostly barren and dry, there was a lot of space to fill, but that only gave us a greater opportunity to improve it. With some creativity and hard work, we were able to transform this property into a space their family can enjoy, and make memories together for years to come!
